Rave wear from the late 90s to early 00s.
Featuring a zipper running down the center front and back,
it functions as a long skirt when zipped,
and converts into baggy pants when unzipped,
making it a super-gimmick piece.
When I first saw it, I was so confused I didn't know what to think. lol
It's just too fun. And honestly, it looks incredibly cool both ways.
It's from the French brand Freeman T. Porter.
A lot of unique tech and rave clothing was born in this era,
but I really don't think there's anything as unique as this.
An obscure archival piece I'm glad to have found.
Equipped with four pockets, it's designed to be functional for going out without needing a bag.
Since I found it in Berlin, I imagine some cool person was wearing it dragged out on the ground,
so the hem is a bit frayed, but it's nothing major.
The lining is made of red mesh material.
The rise is definitely Y2K-style and shallow, but it's not uncomfortable.
The zippers open from both ends; the waist zipper is for putting it on, and the hem zippers open up to the crotch.
The color is a glossy khaki nylon—a wonderful, shadowy tone.
If it doesn't sell, I'm keeping it for my personal collection.
