Vintage Battenburg lace frill gown

This is just too cute. A vintage cotton gown that really tugs at the heartstrings.

It features a hospital gown-style tie front and an abundance of Battenburg lace ruffles encircling the collar.

It’s the first time I’ve come across a handmade piece that incorporates lace in such a workwear-inspired way.

Who made this and why...? A lovely handmade piece born from a unique sensibility.

The material is an extremely lightweight cotton. This airy white cotton is perfect for the coming season,

and fits well with various styles, whether worn over a T-shirt or denim.

Layering that showcases the collar and sleeves is also fun.

It has two snap buttons to ensure it holds its shape when closed.
