vintage ceramic vase OCET

A vase I found in the Czech countryside that I simply couldn't pass up.

It features a beautiful, understated two-tone design

with a smooth white glaze applied over a

matte, deep brown-black finish.

It would fit well in a Japanese-style space with items like old chests or tatami mats.

The cute, raised letters "OCET"

mean "vinegar" in Polish.

It’s a remarkably refined piece.

It’s a striking string of text I’ve occasionally seen on ceramics and glass in the Czech Republic,

so I suspect it was a vinegar bottle that made its way over from Poland. Just a guess, though.

It is lightweight, weighing around 100g.

Rather than large, thick flowers, I recommend using it as a bud vase for smaller stems.
