Back in stock after a while, these are East German Army training jersey tops from around the 70s-80s.
This is our first time stocking the pullover style.
Many of you may already be familiar with them, but since it's been a while, let's start with a quick rundown of the details!
"NVA" on the tag refers to the National People's Army of East Germany, which existed from the late 1950s until 1990.
Naturally, it was disbanded at the same time the Berlin Wall fell.
Personally, I really love East German clothing from this era; there’s something about it that’s undeniably cool and sharp—it’s hard to put into words.
This jersey top we’ve just received is just so "German," isn't it? The sleeve stripes, for instance. It makes quite a statement. Haha.
Though it does make you wonder why the body color is brown instead of black. Haha.
The fabric is a cotton-poly jersey; it's soft, stretchy, and feels great to wear. The ribbing isn't too tight, which is nice.
Whether you wear the collar down or zipped all the way up, it looks cool no matter what.
It’s in great condition and comes highly recommended. Personally, I think this is a "next vintage" piece that deserves much more recognition—the fact that so few people are actually wearing them is also part of the appeal!!
