A wonderful handmade piece that weaves together various knitting patterns like cables and diamonds.
If you look at the close-up photos, you can see that it uses a very thick gauge yarn,
and looking at the dense, tightly-knit fabric full of thick wool just makes me happy.
While you could call it a basic knit, it's truly hard to find something this good when you narrow it down by criteria like 100% thick wool and sizing.
There is a knit brand I've been liking lately, and I even just added a second piece from them to my collection, but
when it comes to the quality of the wool, it's completely different from the old stuff. That’s good in its own way, though.
I imagine it must be difficult to mass-produce heavy, thick knits like this nowadays.
When you consider the cost of finding and purchasing a new item of the same quality, finding a good knit in vintage clothing is truly a great deal, both in terms of quality and price. I really mean that.
The size is around a men's XL, a big fit that can be worn unisex.
