Vintage French cotton pajama set.
These are truly cool pajamas.
The greyish light blue stripes are a lovely, quintessentially French pattern,
combined with the cotton that has thinned over many decades, it creates an incredibly chic texture.
They appear quite old, likely from the 40s or 50s.
I have judged them to be from that era based on the fabric, milk glass buttons, and the size and shape of the front pockets.
There are lovely mended spots in various places, but for a vintage item, it is actually in good condition.
The cotton is worn down to a supple, exquisite softness.
Through repeated washing, the cotton has thinned to the point of being nearly gauze-like,
making it a perfect spring/summer material that seems comfortable for sleeping even on the hottest nights.
It’s very cute to wear them together properly as pajamas, but
of course, they also work great as casual sets or worn individually.
Even if you can find the top or bottom separately, it is rare to come across them as a set.
If they don't sell, I'll keep them as my own sleepwear. Haha.
