ヴィンテージ・ハンガリー製陶器の花瓶／ポット

Hungarian ceramics from the 60s and 70s.

Not only can it serve as a flower vase or a pitcher,

but it also has a striking presence simply as an object.

Set against a jet-black base, the light blue appears to be painted on rather than glazed.

This gives it a unique character all its own.

At markets in Budapest, Hungary, I saw many souvenir plates alongside vases,

all featuring impressive, bold paintings.

I fell in love with this piece not for its natural glazed texture,

but for its distinct, vibrant color scheme.

I also personally love this smoky light blue.

I looked at many vases during my time in Hungary, and while origin, manufacturer, and era are certainly important,

I ended up selecting only the ones that made both of us say "That's great!"

This is a genre of pottery where you rarely come across the exact same piece twice,
