Black leather ankle boots sourced in France.
With a typically French narrow width and a tight, lace-up design,
these two pairs of wonderful vintage boots create a slender, sharp, and sophisticated look for your feet.
While the makers and designs differ slightly, both are in the golden size 38 for women.
This pair features a smooth, unadorned toe and a clean, sleek back style,
distinguished by antique-style hook eyelets.
I imagine the previous owner wore both of these quite evenly.
They resemble the antique Victorian boots I’ve personally wanted for a long time,
but since the buttons and heels were different, I was curious and looked into them.
It appears to be a common style of men's boots from the Edwardian era.
I found something very similar in a 1902 advertisement, so please take a look.
A vintage piece that incorporates a gentlemanly men's style in a women's size.
I'm not sure of the exact era, but I believe they are from around the 80s or 90s.
Since they aren't true antiques, they are easier to wear on a daily basis.
The wear on the soles shows they were well-cared for, and there is no hardening of the leather.
The interior is lined with soft leather and they are so comfortable I could wear them every single day,
but it would be wise to avoid wearing them on days with lots of walking, on rough roads, or in the rain.
Also, I recommend having the soles reinforced, as it will help you enjoy them for much longer!
It's not very expensive, so please consult your local shoe repair shop.

The model usually wears a size 24.5-25cm and these fit perfectly with standard-weight socks.
Though my feet are wider than average, they didn't feel tight at all. Thanks to the previous owner who wore them nicely and quite often, the leather is supple and conforms easily to the feet.
