Levi's vintage 66 late model.
I never expected to find these in Paris. Haha. I'm so happy.
They are missing belt loops, but for someone wearing this size, they are almost never needed, so I don't think it's anything to worry about!
Vintage jeans worn as a perfect fit look so cool.
We wear vintage jeans, Levi's or otherwise, on a regular basis, and they are just cool. This particular pair is a vintage Levi's with selvedge and a straight leg.
The fading is also excellent; the photos were taken in natural light and are unedited.
There are two types of these 66 models: early and late. A clear way to tell them apart is by the stitching on the back of the back pocket—single stitch or chain stitch. This one has a chain stitch, so it's a late type. I mentioned two types, but there's also an even older version of the early model known as the "Big E," where the 'E' is capitalized.
If I write too much, this will get long, so if you're interested, please look it up yourself; there are definitely articles out there that explain it more clearly and in more detail than I can.
Based on the paper tag inside, I believe this pair was manufactured exactly in 1980.
It's often said that this late model has a more "mottled" fade compared to the early model, but that's just a general rule of thumb—personally, I believe the fading changes depending on how they are worn and the sizing.
Looking at the way this pair has faded, I get the impression they were worn as a snug, perfect fit; they have been carefully repaired and look like they were well-loved. That's great.
Wearing jeans like that is really cool. I mean, they are "vintage" now, but back then, they were just jeans, right? Haha.
I’ve seen countless pairs of jeans, but old ones are truly on a different level of cool.
The character and the indigo are both top-notch.
I highly recommend these to anyone who fits the size.
