I believe the groove on the lid is for resting a pen.
It’s just so cool and cute—it really made my heart skip a beat.
I imagine it might have been used to jot down guest information at a casino entrance, but I don't actually know its true purpose.
I always look at old paper goods and knick-knacks, but
I think this is the first time I've come across something that hits just right.
Personally, if I had a shop, I would have loved to keep this at the register.
It would be perfect for those who run a shop, or even as a gift.
