It's been a while since I've had these vintage pajama shirts.
We received 4 deadstock pieces today.
When I started TOTO about 4 years ago, I feel like they were relatively easy to source, but lately, I hardly see them compared to back then.
I happened to come across a batch of them on a buying trip to France the other day, so I grabbed them all.
There's just something so cool about the stripe on this old cotton.
I remember being completely shocked when I first found out these were European pajama shirts back when I was a teenager. Haha.
I thought, "Isn't this too stylish?" Haha.
I hadn't worn pajamas since I was a little kid—or rather, I was a "stay in the nude" kind of guy—so that might be part of why I was so surprised, but regardless, they are just really cool.
Even now, I don't actually wear pajamas this stylish to sleep, but I wear them all the time from this season through the summer.
I'm wearing an undershirt for the product shoot, but I usually wear them directly against my skin.
They have pockets, are convenient and lightweight, and just feel great.
I love the size and the silhouette.
They look cute on women, too—I didn't photograph it this time, but any woman could wear this exactly as you'd imagine.
As an aside, they are also perfect for situations in the summer where you absolutely need to cover up your tattoos.
Since they are intended as pajamas, they aren't hot, and since they don't cling to your body, you can wear them stress-free.
Writing this out, I've realized—pajama shirts are actually amazing shirts!
