A special vintage women's shirt.
I apologize for only introducing such a magnificent shirt now.
I had been carefully storing it away since my buying trip to France last month.
It is an incredibly old, handmade piece crafted with great care.
The supple, lustrous satin fabric feels like rayon, but also possesses the sheen of silk.
I suspect it is either rayon satin or silk satin.
The narrow, pointed collar directed downward evokes the long point collars of the 1940s.
While I cannot pinpoint the exact era, I estimate it to be from around that time based on the details throughout.
And this small chest pocket—it’s got me hooked.
The design choice to make a tiny pocket—for which I have no idea what you would carry in it—asymmetrical is just devious.
A natural talent of the French. I am thoroughly impressed. Haha.
I think it will be a perfect fit for those who wear a women's size S.
I have taken plenty of photos, anyway.
Please take a close look at the beautiful sleeve decorations, the stitching on the collar and waist belt, and the narrow spacing of the shell buttons (they feel cold to the touch, much like glass buttons).
If you look at the inside, the uneven seam finishing and the hand-cut fabric reveal
the care and attention that went into sewing this by hand for the wearer.
It makes you wonder how they cut and joined such limited fabric.
From looking, touching, wearing, and photographing it, I have truly been struck by this garment.
The condition is also flawless. This is a piece you will likely never come across again.
Because the collar is constructed with volume and thickness,
the fabric doesn't rub against the underarms, making it easy to move your arms and wonderful to wear.
As you can see in the photos taken on the carpet,
the back hem is shorter, while the front is slightly longer.
