A vintage troll doll from Italy.
Trolls are fairies from ancient Norwegian folklore,
and these dolls became a massive hit in Europe in the 60s because it was said that petting their signature spiked hair would bring you happiness.
Believe it or not, they were also popular among Japanese "kogal" (nostalgic!) in the 90s, so I'm sure many of you recognize them.
Unlike the typical trolls you might know, this one has a purple body and fluffy pink hair.
It's hard to tell in the photos, but the corners of its mouth turn up slightly when you change the angle. It’s just so adorable.
It has a fluffy acrylic body and is baby-sized, making it feel very cozy.
As I write this, I actually have it sitting on my lap while I type. Haha.
If I had children, I would definitely buy this for them. I highly recommend it as a gift for families with small children or for friends' families.
