There is absolutely no information available about this manufacturer. While I occasionally—and I mean very occasionally—come across their pieces while buying, they’re usually just simple wool coats. This is the first time I’ve encountered such a magnificent jacket, and I am genuinely surprised they even made something like this.
The fact that it was produced in West Germany is fascinating, as it reflects the economic conditions and atmosphere of the West at the time.
You can really feel the sense of luxury, the disco vibe, and the glamour of that era.
Back then, East and West Germany were completely different, which was reflected not just in clothing, but in everything from cars to furniture.
It’s a simple, obscure brand, but I believe that if a major brand were to launch this today, it would be priced very high and fit right in.
That is how wonderful this jacket is.
A piece that makes me feel once again how interesting vintage clothing can be.
