The protruding pocket in the center is just adorable.
Although the care tag is missing, it feels like a soft knit material, possibly wool or mohair blended with nylon.
It looks like it may have shrunk a bit from its original state, making it a compact size that fits a woman’s S-M.
Surprisingly, when you put it on, the width and shoulders are quite generous, and the sleeve length is decent, so it actually feels great. There’s none of the awkward tightness or discomfort you’d expect from shrunken wool.
I’d love to style this casually under a nice jacket.
Walter Van Beirendonck is a famous designer, known as one of the Antwerp Six.
With a short period of activity and limited distribution, pieces from W.&L.T. are quite rare and hard to come by.
And considering most of the collection features characters or loud, flashy designs,
it was a pleasant surprise to find something this simply good—and black, at that. Haha
