1950s Bay Keramik West Germany

A ceramic vase by the famous West German company, Bay.

It features a base of crimson or wine-red,

beautifully complemented by a whitish-pink glaze.

The rim is accented with gold,

making it one of the most collectible designs among the many Fat Lava pieces.

I have seen many cool Bay Keramik pieces with thick, dripping glazes,

but I have rarely come across one with this particular atmosphere.

The company produced vases from the 1950s to 1971,

and based on the label, I have determined this to be an early 1950s piece.

Mid-century products are truly fascinating.
